for a TV screen, flat.
for a PC screen you sit less the 2 feet away, curved works.

I have a 34 curved and love it

I've been watching a few monitors, one of the monitors I've been watching on Amazon is this one and it is down to a decent price. With tax it came up to $512 and some change with free 5 business day delivery. I ordered it on 10/12 and it shipped on 10/13, I'll get it this Friday. I currently have 3 monitors on my desk, I have an Acer H236HLbid (23" monitor), an Asus MG248 (24" 144 MHz gaming monitor), and a Dell P2210 (22" monitor) that I got from work. This new monitor will replace the Acer and Asus. I think I'm going to keep the Dell just to use for reading documents and for chat programs. I have the Dell sitting vertically.

Once I get the monitor I think I'll have to put my computer on a make shift table next to my desk and push the Dell monitor to the outside further. Here's my setup now https://i.imgur.com/0fdxdBA.png
